3 Great Reasons to Attend Exterro XChange in New Orleans

July 27, 2023

Everyone at Exterro is getting excited about XChange, our global conference for the e-discovery, privacy, cybersecurity compliance, and digital forensics communities. We’ve been busy growing over the last couple of years, but it’s been far too long since we’ve gathered in person with all the experts, practitioners, partners, and customers at a live event. Happening September 19th - 21st in beautiful New Orleans, LA, Exterro XChange is going to change all that!

Everyone is welcome to attend Exterro XChange–not just customers of Exterro or legacy users of Zapproved and AccessData technology–although of course Exterro users especially benefit from the day full of hands-on product training on the 19th. But getting to New Orleans and attending a conference is a big lift, so it has to be worthwhile. Exterro XChange for sure is–and here are three big reasons why.

Learn from E-Discovery, Privacy, and Digital Forensics Experts

Exterro XChange is bringing together experts from e-discovery, privacy, and digital forensics in one place for the express purpose of learning from each other. Over three days, XChange will have 20+ fun, informative, and engaging sessions on important topics like:

  • Generative AI and its effect on the law

  • Current events in e-discovery, privacy, and digital forensics

  • The rapidly changing privacy landscape

  • Digital transformation of corporate legal teams

  • The First Amendment and privacy concerns

At XChange you’ll get to learn from some of the biggest, most recognizable names in e-discovery like Hon. Andrew Peck and Maura Grossman; seven current and former federal justices; partners and attorneys from leading law firms like DLA Piper, Norton Rose Fulbright, and ReedSmith; and many more! (If you’re not sure, just check out the agenda and speaker lists on the XChange website.)

Network with Peers from E-Discovery, Privacy, and Digital Forensics Teams

The sessions at XChange (and its predecessors, Exterro InFusion and Zapproved’s PREX conference) provide tons of great insight, but anyone who’s attended either of those conferences knows that the direct connections with peers provide just as much opportunity to learn. XChange brings together members of legal teams, privacy professionals, cybersecurity experts, and digital forensic investigators from the public and private sector, representing organizations in industries like energy, real estate, finance, pharmaceuticals, media, big tech and more–and they’re all there to learn and connect.

As important as it is to learn from an expert, it’s just as valuable to sit down over coffee with a peer who’s attempting to solve the same challenges you’re facing and hear what they’ve tried and what’s worked for them. And the connections you make at XChange last–you’ll take those relationships back with you and can tap into them as easily as picking up the phone or sending an email!

Celebrate the E-Discovery, Privacy, and Digital Forensics Communities

As much as e-discovery, privacy, and digital forensics professionals are just that–pros who get challenging, detail-oriented, highly technical work done for countless organizations across the globe–they’re also a community. If you come to an event like XChange, you get to feel that strong connection in person–and really, there’s no comparison between what you’ll experience at a live, in-person event and what you would have experienced at an online or virtual event. At XChange, you can reconnect with old friends in the field and make new ones.

And this year, we’re really excited to be doing something extra special to support the community–the Hero Awards. Exterro and Zapproved both had traditions recognizing exemplary professionals in e-discovery, but we’re excited to be extending the awards to the disciplines of privacy and forensics as well. The Hero Awards honor professionals who exemplify exceptional leadership, collaboration, innovation, and resourcefulness, as well as achieving success in their roles and positively impacting their communities. This year, we’ll be giving out awards in the following categories:

  • Privacy

  • E-Discovery

  • Digital Forensics

  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

  • Customer Hero

  • The Honorable Shira Scheindlin Lifetime Achievement Award

And best of all, these awards are truly a community affair. You can participate by submitting a nomination to the selection committee. Nominations for all are open through August 11, 2023, so act now–and make sure to reserve your spot at the XChange as well!
