2022 Law Firm Benchmarking Report

Exterro and Today’s General Counsel recently partnered to conduct a survey of professionals working at law firms focusing on document review services. A lot has changed since the last time Exterro presented its Law Firm Benchmarking Report in 2018. 

Then, law firms were facing client demands for e-discovery services that were more customized to their needs and more cost-effective, while corporations were beginning to invest in technology to build up their ability to preserve documents for civil litigation effectively and defensibly. Today, in-house legal teams are capable of handling far more of the process, including document review--but they still need to partner effectively with law firms and service providers.
