LGPD is based on principles such as purpose limitation, necessity, transparency, security, and accountability. LGPD also mandates that organizations implement security measures to protect personal data and establishes penalties for non-compliance, including fines of up to 2% of the company's revenue in Brazil, capped at 50 million Brazilian reais per violation.
