Portland, Ore., January 30, 2012 – Exterro®, a leading provider of workflow-driven electronic discovery software, unveiled the latest upgrades to its Exterro® e-discovery suite. These upgrades enhance data management and process control across all phases of the e-discovery process, from preservation through production.
To meet the growing demand for integrating Exterro’s workflow management capabilities with leading e-discovery and preservation tools, the company also announced new technology partnerships with kCura, Catalyst, CommVault, and Hitachi Data Systems. These partnerships and product enhancements were showcased at LegalTech New York 2012.
“As corporations continue working to control legal spending and bring more of the e-discovery process in-house, they are demanding advanced technology that enables their teams to manage every aspect of e-discovery from one unified platform,” said Bobby Balachandran, President and CEO of Exterro.
“The Exterro platform addresses this need at every level. We remain committed to expanding the capabilities of the Fusion platform and strengthening industry partnerships to meet evolving market demands.”
The Exterro e-discovery software platform enables legal teams to establish consistent and repeatable business processes for managing complex litigation workloads.
The latest advancements to the Fusion suite include:
According to industry analysts, including Gartner, organizations are increasingly recognizing the importance of integrating e-discovery technology into their broader business operations.
The Exterro platform includes a dynamic integration engine that allows organizations to leverage existing IT investments—such as HR systems and content management systems—while integrating preferred e-discovery tools into a unified workflow.
Exterro has partnered with several technology providers to enable seamless integration in key areas.
Catalyst Integration
Catalyst and Exterro partnered to streamline the transfer of preserved and collected evidence for secure external review. With this integration, users can export data preserved, analyzed, collected, and processed in Fusion directly to Catalyst’s secure web-based repository for final review and production. This integration reduces duplicated work, mitigates risk, and lowers discovery costs.
kCura Integration
Exterro also partnered with kCura to integrate Fusion with Relativity. This integration allows users to transfer electronically stored information (ESI) between Fusion and Relativity with a single action while maintaining full visibility into data flows, audit logs, and review status within Fusion.
Hitachi Data Systems (HDS)
Exterro integrated with the HDS Data Discovery Suite to provide a unified solution for managing legal compliance requirements and e-discovery processes. Together, the platforms enable legal and IT teams to orchestrate legal holds, index and manage ESI for early case assessment, collect data from diverse sources, and manage efficient e-discovery workflows.
CommVault Integration
Exterro also partnered with CommVault to provide a comprehensive approach to e-discovery management and early case assessment (ECA). Integration with CommVault Simpana® ensures that electronically stored information is preserved accurately when litigation holds are issued and indexed to accelerate early case assessment, collection, and processing.
Exterro demonstrated the Fusion e-discovery software suite at LegalTech New York, held from January 30 to February 1, 2012, at the Hilton New York.
Demonstrations were available at Exterro’s booth #331 and in the company’s private demo suite.
