Orlando, FL – (Marketwire – August 20, 2007) – At the ILTA Conference, Exterro, a leading provider of advanced discovery management technology, announced the expansion of its Exterro Legal Hold Management module. The module is designed to provide corporations and law firms with a framework to implement a repeatable and defensible legal hold process.
It seamlessly integrates with HR and LDAP systems and other custodial systems, enabling the automation, management, and tracking of legal holds. Additionally, it supports custodian and data source mapping and the management of multiple holds across matters.
During the ILTA Conference (August 20–23, 2007), Exterro demonstrated the Legal Hold Module at Booth #613. Private demonstrations were also available by contacting David Haines, EVP Strategy, or Peter Renault, Director of Business Development.
“Large corporate clients, particularly in highly regulated industries such as financial services, insurance, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and energy, find today’s legal hold solutions fraught with inherent limitations—capturing only the hold and collection process in the best scenarios and often not cost effective,” said David Haines, EVP of Strategy & Development at Exterro. “Corporations have been forced to create home-grown solutions that don’t scale and often fail to meet their needs.”
“The discovery phase in any case may unfold over many months or even years. As such, it is essential to have a process that is both structured to capture and preserve documents and flexible enough to assist corporate counsel in fulfilling their obligations in a legal hold scenario or actual production,” said Robert Carey, Esq., Chair of the Labor & Employment Group at Tonkon Torp LLP. “Exterro has created a secure and cost-effective web-based platform that automates the discovery management process.”
