Integrations with ServiceNow and VMware’s Zimbra showcase the enterprise readiness of the Exterro® e-discovery suite.
Portland, Ore., October 1, 2012 – Exterro Inc., a leading provider of unified electronic discovery software, announced expanded enterprise IT system integrations for the Exterro® e-discovery suite.
With more than 40 adapters currently available, Exterro now provides out-of-the-box integrations with widely used enterprise IT systems such as ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM) and VMware Zimbra. These expanded integrations are designed to support global corporations seeking greater cost predictability and control across all phases of e-discovery management through a single unified platform.
“Complex e-discovery and big data management require handling large volumes of electronically stored information (ESI) from a wide range of data sources,” said Ted Gary, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Exterro.
“The newest adapters for the Exterro platform reflect our continued innovation and commitment to helping clients extract value from their existing enterprise IT systems as part of their e-discovery implementations.”
According to the 2012 Magic Quadrant for E-Discovery Software, organizations are increasingly adopting e-discovery solutions that provide full Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) functionality.
Exterro delivers this capability through seamless integrations powered by the Fusion Integration Hub, which connects critical systems across three key areas:
IT Infrastructure
Integration with systems such as HR platforms, asset management systems, matter management tools, single sign-on systems, and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) ensures users receive alerts when key changes occur within other enterprise systems.
Data Sources
Exterro’s ESI connectors enable organizations to inspect and search files and metadata to better evaluate data collection efforts and identify responsive electronically stored information.
EDRM Tools
Fully featured bi-directional adapters, developed in collaboration with technology partners, enable closed-loop integrations with EDRM tools used for collection and multi-party review.
The latest adapters extend Exterro’s integration capabilities with the following systems:
ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM)
Exterro now offers an out-of-the-box adapter for ServiceNow ITAM, a cloud-based system that stores detailed information about custodial and non-custodial data sources such as email systems, shared drives, archives, desktops, and laptops.
Through this integration, asset information stored in ServiceNow ITAM is automatically synchronized with Exterro, helping organizations reduce the risk of missing potentially relevant evidence.
VMware Zimbra
Enterprise collaboration platforms often manage email, address books, calendars, and chat logs, which frequently contain electronically stored information relevant to discovery.
Exterro now includes a data connector for VMware Zimbra, allowing organizations to assess and collect ESI stored within this enterprise email and collaboration system.
