Exterro’s Orchestrated E-Discovery Solution FedRAMP Authorization demonstrates strong commitment to security and the public sector

PORTLAND, Ore., April 22, 2021Exterro Inc., the preferred provider of Legal GRC software specifically designed for in-house legal, privacy, and IT teams at Global 2000 and AmLaw 200 organizations, and the Association of Corporate Counsel’s exclusive Alliance Partner for Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Compliance and E-Discovery, announced that the Exterro Orchestrated E-Discovery Solution is now FedRAMP Authorized.

This status designation demonstrates Exterro’s strong commitment to data security, as FedRAMP authorization is granted only to providers that meet the highest and most up-to-date cybersecurity standards.

“FedRAMP Authorized providers are highly sought-after because organizations can trust that they’ve implemented the necessary measures to effectively protect sensitive data,” said Bobby Balachandran, Founder and CEO of Exterro.

“This milestone reflects a goal we have been striving to achieve and further demonstrates Exterro’s expanding presence as a leading provider in the e-discovery and broader Legal Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) marketplace. With this authorization, we can help the Federal Government and other public sector agencies take full advantage of the Exterro Orchestrated E-Discovery solution.”

FedRAMP (Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program) is a government-wide initiative designed to provide a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring through a “do once, use many times” framework. This approach helps agencies save time, resources, and costs.

The benefits of FedRAMP Authorization extend beyond federal agencies. Private organizations can also benefit from the standardized security approach offered by FedRAMP Authorized providers.

Among the benefits, businesses find that FedRAMP Authorized providers:

  • Help mitigate the risk of data breaches and create stronger defensibility in court by ensuring appropriate data protection measures are in place
  • Offer cost efficiency, as much of the security due diligence has already been conducted by the federal government
  • Provide the highest levels of data security and maintain the most up-to-date standards and controls
  • Include third-party verification confirming the provider has the qualifications and resources to defend against cyber threats

“Businesses don’t want to see their name become the next major data breach headline,” Balachandran added. “Organizations in both the public and private sectors can benefit from stronger security practices, and I’m proud that Exterro is among a select group of providers to achieve this designation.”
