Exterro a Visionary in Leading Analyst Firms First Magic Quadrant on E-Discovery Software

PORTLAND, Ore. June 28, 2011 Exterro®, the legal industrys most trusted provider of e-discovery solutions, has been named a visionary in Gartners first Magic Quadrant for E-Discovery Software*.

Portland, Ore. – June 28, 2011 – Exterro®, a trusted provider of e-discovery solutions for the legal industry, has been named a Visionary in Gartner’s first Magic Quadrant for E-Discovery Software.

The Gartner report evaluated vendors based on their ability to understand buyers’ needs and translate those needs into effective products and services. A key investment strategy for product development is the continuous improvement of simplicity and ease of use.

In line with this approach, Exterro delivers user-friendly solutions that treat e-discovery as a standard business process. The Exterro® platform is a fully integrated suite of cross-compatible and standalone applications built on a powerful workflow platform.

The latest Fusion release, Fusion Zeta, addresses several key processes in e-discovery, including:

  • In-place early case assessment
  • Preservation
  • Collection
  • Analysis

“Exterro has strong appeal right now because of its unique workflow approach and strong legal perspective,” said Bennett Borden, co-chair of the e-Discovery and Information Governance Section at Williams Mullen.

“Fusion Zeta gives Exterro a more complete end-to-end solution, and I see them rising to become a real market leader.”

According to the Gartner Magic Quadrant, the market has become increasingly resistant to point solutions, such as standalone litigation hold tools. With the addition of Fusion Zeta, Exterro now supports the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) process and reduces the need for costly standalone tools.

Additionally, the Fusion Integration Hub reduces duplication and inefficiencies by connecting with common electronically stored information (ESI) sources such as Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint, while leveraging existing IT infrastructure and other e-discovery tools.

“I’m very proud of where Exterro is positioned in such a competitive e-discovery market,” said Bobby Balachandran, President and CEO of Exterro.

“Enterprises today need intuitive solutions that reflect the way legal teams think, and we are taking that feedback and directly applying it to our products.”
