Discover CPRA & Exterro's Solutions
In June 2018, the CCPA was signed into law, creating new privacy rights for Californians and significant new data protection obligations for businesses.
Understanding the CPRA
The California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) is a comprehensive privacy law that enhances and expands the existing California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). The CPRA introduces new rights for consumers, such as the right to correct inaccurate personal information and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. It also creates new obligations for businesses, including the requirement to conduct regular privacy assessments and to implement measures to protect personal information. The CPRA establishes the California Privacy Protection Agency to enforce these provisions and ensure compliance with the law.
