Detective Sergeant at West Midlands Police
John Price is a Detective Sergeant in the West Midlands Police Force. John has been a Police Officer for over 26 years with around 14 years’ experience within Digital/Cyber Forensics. Since 2016, John has been a Digital Technical Manager within the Digital Forensics Unit. Over the last eight years John has championed numerous change projects within Digital Forensics. These have included the introduction of the first cloud-based review tool for UK Law Enforcement, and the retention of this data within the cloud. Since September 2023, John has been supervising the new Digital Scene Attendance Team within West Midlands Police. John was awarded a Kings Police Medal for his work in Digital Forensics in the New Years Honours 2024.
