Exterro Sponsors Lego Robotics FTC Team AFOOFA and Team Syntax Error 42
BEAVERTON, Ore. - Exterro Inc., the industrys only workflow-driven e-discovery software suite provider, announced today that the company has sponsored Lego Robotics FTC Team AFOOFA and Team Syntax Error 42, two Portland-area robotic clubs consisting of dedicated middle and high school students.
Innovation and engineering excellence are at the core of what Exterro does and who we are, so we are pleased to have the opportunity to support this project," said Bobby Balachandran, CEO of Exterro. "This will have a positive impact within the Portland community and will help to build future engineers that will shape the technology community for years to come."
Team AFOOFA is 2014s Washington state FTC champion. The team recently advanced to the Super Regionals competition in California where they will compete against teams in 13 western states. If they win, Team AFOOFA will have a chance to compete at Internationals in St. Louis. They will be hosting a regional qualifying tournament on Sunday, February 23rd at Mentor Graphics.
Team Syntax Error 42 is a rookie team, competing in FTC for the first time this season. Many of the team members have earned various awards in previous FLL robotics competitions, but, for most, this is their first time doing FTC. The team took home two awards at their first qualifying tournament earlier this month at Evergreen Space Museum in McMinnville, Ore., finishing in the top three for the Inspire Award. The team hopes to qualify for the state competition at their second qualifier on Sunday.
