Exterro Announces Legal Project Management Webcasts

Legal professionals discuss why legal project management is a 'must-have' post FRCP amendments and in today's cost-conscious business environment

PORTLAND, Ore., April 21, 2016 – Exterro® Inc., the preferred provider of software specifically designed for in-house legal and IT teams at Global 2000 and AmLaw 200 organizations, today announced their Legal Project Management Spring Training webcast series. The webcasts included in the series will cover project management for both in-house and law firm teams, sharing best practices on implementing and improving legal processes through increased collaboration and accountability between and across teams, resulting in improved performance and reduced legal costs.

“It is often lamented that Legal and IT tend to speak different languages, which can be a barrier to an effective e-discovery process. Project Management tools can provide a common language and blueprint to enable these two diverse groups to track and execute a repeatable, defensible e-discovery," said webcast panelist Tom Mullane, E-Discovery Process Manager at United Technologies.

The series will include the following webcasts:

  • In-House Legal Project Management: 5 Best Practices for Keeping Your Team Happy and Productive – Airs Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 1pm ET
  • Law Firm Legal Project Management: 5 Ways You Can Add More Value for Your Clients – Airs Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 1pm ET

“By applying business project management principles to work processes already being done, in-house legal and law firm teams can develop repeatable, consistent, and defensible processes for managing legal projects of all kind, including e-discovery centered projects. These two webcasts will feature some of those leading the way in legal project management principles and will give attendees practical advice for implementing or improving a project management strategy at their own organization," said Bill Piwonka, chief marketing officer at Exterro.
