A key feature of privacy regulations like the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is that they allow individuals to see what personal information of theirs is stored by a given organization. These requests, known as Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), require an organization with data on an individual to produce that information and allow for remediation (deletion, archiving, etc.). In our guide, you'll learn:
- What a DSAR is and why it matters
- Organizational challenges to handling DSARs
- 6 steps for creating an effective DSAR response process
