Memes are popular. They make people laugh. And in a field that can be rather esoteric, like e-discovery, that ability to laugh—at the challenges we face, at outsiders’ misunderstandings about our profession, and even at ourselves—is critical. That’s why we started this whole e-discovery “meme thing” three years ago.
For the third year in a row, we’ve compiled our best memes into a year-end anthology. The methodology by which we judge a meme “popular” is scientific and exacting, involving a tightly-held formula including pageviews on our blog and social media shares, likes, and comments.
