E-Discovery Day has come a long way over the past five years. What started in 2015 as an opportunity for legal professionals from around the world to come together and celebrate the vital and growing role that they play in e-discovery process has grown larger and more active each year. Now in its sixth year, E-Discovery Day is ready for attendees with 31 sponsors, 20 free resources, 11 great educational webcasts, and seven other virtual events all rolled into one day: Thursday, December 3, 2020.

The 6th Annual celebration of e-discovery promises to be bigger and better than ever, with more partner resources and sponsors throwing their support into the big day—sponsors like EDRM, which have developed an entirely new “Expo” space in which users can interact digitally and talk with other attendees, creating a true networking feel with no sales pitches.

“EDRM will realign our resources into the flagship all-community celebration, E-Discovery Day,” said Mary Mack, CEO and chief legal technologist of EDRM in October. “E-Discovery Day, created by EDRM Guardian Partner Exterro—with the Expo powered by EDRM—is known for its great educational content and real-life gatherings. EDRM will provide our virtual platform for the shared experience and technology updates our community is craving.”

Educational webcasts (no vendor pitches allowed!) are hosted by E-Discovery Day sponsors such as Exterro, Brightalk, Today’s General Counsel, ACEDS, Corporate Counsel Business Journal, and more. In addition to Exterro’s E-Discovery Masters Series, the webcasts will cover major e-discovery events from 2020, best practices for e-discovery operations, and a deeper dive into e-discovery technology. The free resources include whitepapers and other reports that highlight the benefits of bringing e-discovery processes in-house, an e-discovery checklist manifesto, and guides covering best practices for preservation and legal hold.

The virtual events, which allow fellow e-discovery professionals to connect around the world and network, will include free yoga classes, a wine and cheese happy hour, a cocktail mixing class, and a scavenger hunt that includes an ugly sweater contest.

“We’re excited to bring together supporting organizations within the legal community for the sixth year to celebrate and bring more awareness to the e-discovery industry,” said Exterro Chief Marketing Officer Bill Piwonka. “EDRM’s Expo is a fun, innovative new addition to E-Discovery Day, and we encourage more organizations and attendees to join in support of this industry-wide day of celebration.”

With more organizations and legal sponsors representing industry associations, universities, vendors, and publishers than ever before, this year’s E-Discovery Day should not be missed!
