Business Development Manager: Enterprise Software Sales

Exterro, Inc. is the leading provider of legal governance, risk and compliance management software solutions. As a business development manager, you will be selling innovative enterprise software solutions to C-level executives at Fortune 1000 companies, large law firms, and legal consultancy firms as well as managing accounts throughout the sales cycle. You will initially focus on new business acquisition through cold calling and leads provided by our lead-gen marketing team. This role is conducted 100 percent via telephone as the territory includes the entire U.S. However this is not a telemarketing job, it is an executive business-to-business sales position that requires critical thinking, excellent communication and follow-up skills.

Skills and Experience:

* Be a quick learner with a deep understanding of the benefits and roles technology plays in today’s complex marketplace.
* Be an energetic self-starter.
* Have the ability to communicate and manage ongoing relationships effectively with C-level executives.
* Willing to work smart and hard
* Have exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and written/verbal skills.
* Outstanding telephone, cold calling skills and the ability to navigate through gate-keepers to reach C-Level individuals.
* Self-motivated individual who shows perseverance and can overcome objections to achieve sales targets.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*  Ability to initiate ideas and develop recommendations at an upper management level.
* Bachelors Degree AND/OR 2+ years B2B inside sales skills.
* Aptitude to negotiate and close business via the telephone.

Roles and responsibilities:

* Identifying leads and proactively pursuing sales opportunities.
* Pre-qualify prospects: Understand the customer needs.
* Conduct web based demos of the product.
* Successfully networking within the legal community and building relationships.
* Proactively prospecting and qualifying new potential clients.
* Working as a team to meet Exterro’s quarterly revenue targets.
* Continually selling upgrades and new product to existing clients by maintaining successful business relationships and regular communications.
* Finding creative new lead sources and innovative techniques to obtain new clients.
* Assisting other sales and sales support representatives as needed.
