Bobby Balachandran, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Bobby Balachandran founded Exterro, Inc. with conviction that process improvements in Legal - Discovery Management technology in particular
- can be driven from lessons learned in other industries and disciplines.
He leads the company in building and successfully deploying an innovative, patent pending Discovery Management Platform for the Legal Market.
Bobby leads the overall strategy and vision of the company. He will make sure that Senior Management
team is on track with a unified/common direction to execute on the vision and provide excellent customer
service. He will foster a culture within the company which will help the organization to maintain an
aggressive and sustained growth, providing innovative solutions to Exterro's customers.
Before founding Exterro, Bobby has worked extensively in Financial Services, Healthcare and
Telecommunication industries building mission critical applications. Bobby has more than 14 years
of leadership experience in architecting and managing various large scale, highly available, mission
critical, secure distributed Internet Systems in large financial services and health care organizations.
He has formulated Enterprise Strategies for various
large organizations and realizing them as solid Implementations.
Bobby holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Govt. College of Technology, Coimbatore,
India and a graduate degree in Computer Science from Portland State University.
David Haines, Executive Vice President, Strategy & Development
David brings to Exterro a distinguished background in legal, management consulting,
publishing & financial markets with a depth of knowledge in Discovery Management technology.
David Haines' brings over 18 years of business development and sales experience in the Legal Industry to Exterro.
His work with Corporate General & Litigation Counsel, along with CIO's, CFO's and outside counsel at law firms,
to drive efficiencies in the management of discovery, bring invaluable perspective to Exterro's clients.
He was an early client and proponent of advanced search & retrieval solutions while leading the ground-breaking
launch of The New York Times Information Service.
He was also in leadership role running Business Strategy & Development for a search engine start-up. His collective
experience led to his work with a global management consultancy and multiple roles in Business & Operational
consulting through Litigation Information Consulting.
Recognized expertise in building high satisfaction, client-facing, business development
and marketing organizations will assure Exterro executes on the firms' vision & plan. He will serve on the leadership
team, bringing his depth of knowledge, vision, strategic and tactical perspectives to solve our clients challenges in
the procurement of services in the Discovery Process. David will lead the firm as global head of sales & marketing,
bringing his unique brand of creative out-of-the-box strategic thinking.
He started his career working with government agencies and corporate clients in Washington, D.C. as Managing Director
for The New York Times Information Service. His career has spanned leadership roles in strategic business consulting,
business development and litigation for leading publishing, investment banking, software and management consulting firms.
David holds undergraduate degree from The University of Florida (BA) advanced degrees in
International Law & Economics from American University, Washington, DC. (MA) Attended Georgetown Law, Columbia University &
Harvard University Executive Management Programs.
Shashidhar Angadi, Executive Vice President, Technology
Shashi is the head of the Technology Operations at Exterro, Inc. Shashi drives the technology direction of Exterro, Inc focusing
on Architecture frameworks, Portals, Security, Service Oriented Architecture, CRM and Application integration.
Shashi has more than 12 Years of varied experience in the IT industry and has architected and implemented complex solutions for Retail and
Financial Institutions.
Shashi holds an Engineering degree in Computer Science from Bangalore University.
Karthik Palani, Executive Vice President, Global Operations
Karthik oversees the day-to-day global operations of Exterro.
He leads the integration of strategic and innovative processes into Exterro's Discovery Management platform. He is also mainly responsible
for working with the Exterro leadership team to evaluate and drive new strategic business opportunities, including strategic
alliances, mergers, and acquisitions. He leads the company's effort to provide unsurpassed customer service.
Karthik has more than 10 years of information technology experience in a variety of leadership assignments in the Automotive, Manufacturing,
Health Care, and Telecommunucations industries.
Karthik received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Trichy, India.
Winlock Brown, Esq., Litigation Technologies Counsel
Windy has 18 years experience in literally hundreds of lawsuits where she has helped creatively guide legal teams from beginning to end
in court, mediation, or arbitration. She has run both litigation consultancies and internal litigation/practice support departments in
law firms through senior management positions. An early adopter of technology, her work has taken her around the United States and across
the world, giving her the chance to meet, work with, and use the products and procedures of many of the best law firms, corporations,
and individuals involved within litigation today. As Litigation Technologies Counsel, she brings a seasoned user's view to the company,
advising on technical enhancements, process recommendations, and client interactions to augment the understanding of the needs of
Exterro's clients.
Windy is a licensed attorney with a JD from the University of Houston Law Center. Her undergraduate degree is in French, cum laude,
from Newcomb College of Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. She is a regular member of many law, administrative, and technology
organizations and a founding member of COALSM.
